Wellness Fair

Last year, the BWE PTA was the fortunate recipient of a $2,500 grant awarded by the National PTA to put on a Wellness Fair. Rather than limiting it just to our school, we decided to open it up to our entire community. Working with the Harris YMCA and Huntingtowne Farms Elementary PTA, we held the Fair as part of the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day, a free event open to the public that included access to the YMCA’s activities along with inflatables, food trucks and a DJ. The event was a hit, and now continues as a consistent piece of these organizations’ commitment to their local community.
